Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Appoints Protocol Sports To Lead Global Media Sales

Updated: Aug 10, 2022

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), the undisputed international leader in bare-knuckle fighting, has signed an exclusive media rights distribution deal with Protocol Sports Marketing that will see the Canadian-based international agency market and distribute the fastest-growing promotion in combat sports worldwide.

In 2018, BKFC became the first organization to promote a state-sanctioned bare-knuckle fighting event in the United States since 1889. The trail-blazing promotion has held nearly 40 events in the United States and Thailand, and recently announced an expansion into the United Kingdom hosting BKFC 27 on August 20, 2022 at Wembley Arena in London, headlined by newly-signed Bellator alumni Michael “Venom” Page versus BKFC fighter and former Ultimate Fighting Championship alumni Mike Perry.

BKFC’s multi-year agreement with Protocol Sports will accelerate its global reach. Already, BKFC has been featured on Star+ in Latin America and Fox Deportes in the USA, and continues to enjoy tremendous year-over-year growth with its over-the-top direct-to-consumer service, Bareknuckle.tv.

With new studies revealing bare-knuckle fighters exhibiting less concussions and concussion-like symptoms than other combat sports participants, athletic commissions around the world are embracing the unparalleled growth seen by BKFC, and bare-knuckle fighting is expected to thrive as the phenomenon spreads globally.

“Bare-knuckle fighting may be new, but it is the fastest growing sport internationally. And with it, BKFC is the fastest-growing sports promotion worldwide. Partnering up with an organization with the international reputation and acumen of Protocol Sports was a no-brainer,” says BKFC President and Founder David Feldman.

Known as the leading media rights distributor of championship Boxing for over a decade, Protocol uniquely understands that BKFC will satisfy the combat appetite of sports platforms worldwide. “We are very excited to collaborate with David and his team at BKFC,” says Protocol Sports President Lowell Conn. “In less than four years, BKFC has emerged as a major brand in combat sports. We are going to help nurture BKFC into becoming one of the biggest brands in all of sports.”
