Comosa AG Names Protocol Sports Marketing as the International Distributor of the World Boxing Super Series
Protocol Sports Marketing Ltd. is proud to announce that it has been appointed as the worldwide media rights agency for the Season 2 semi-finals and finals of the prestigious World Boxing Super Series, on behalf of Comosa AG.
Launched in 2017, the World Boxing Super Series is a first-of-its-kind annual boxing tournament that brings together the ‘best of the best’ fighters to compete in a single-elimination format for the Muhammad Ali trophy. Bypassing Boxing’s infamous political divide, the World Boxing Super Series combines world class production with the world’s best fighters to present an unparalleled Boxing experience, and narrative that builds from the first round to the final match.
Following the success of Season 1, which offered $50 million USD in prize money, the tournament was increased from two to three weight classes for Season 2, and includes top names such as Josh Taylor, Nonito Donaire, Naoya Inoue, Regis Prograis, Zolani Tete, Mairis Briedis and more.
The upcoming semi-finals round – which will also feature a total of ten world championship belts up for grabs – are being held over the course of three events:
April 27 in the USA – Prograis vs. Relikh and Donaire vs. Tete
May 18 in the United Kingdom – Taylor vs. Baranchyk and Rodriguez vs. Inoue
June 15 in Latvia – Briedis vs. Glowacki and Dorticos vs. Tabiti
As the world’s leading Boxing rights agency – and the company that is most counted upon by broadcasters and streaming platforms to help them understand the sport – Protocol Sports Marketing is the perfect partner for the World Boxing Super Series, says Protocol Sports President Lowell Conn. “By bringing all the best fighters within a division into a single-elimination tournament, the World Boxing Super Series format ensures that fight fans are guaranteed to see the best in the world compete,” says Conn. “Protocol Sports is thrilled to be marketing this narratively-rich and meaningful Boxing property to broadcasters and streaming platforms all over the world.”
From Comosa AG’s vantage point, the opportunity to work with a seasoned and knowledgeable Boxing rights distribution agency represents the perfect synchronicity in order to propel their innovative tournament to new heights. “We are extremely pleased to be working with Protocol Sports Marketing,” says Massimiliano Iuliano, COO at Comosa AG. “The Protocol Sports team, without a doubt, has the most knowledge and passion for Boxing of any rights agency, and we are confident that they are the right partner to help fuel further international growth for the World Boxing Super Series.”
