Octapixx LIVE, the world’s leading boutique sports marketing firm, is proud to announce the formation of Protocol Sports Marketing Ltd., a company that will focus all of its resources toward the marketing of boxing to television broadcasters and internet transmitters, while pursuing other major business development opportunities for the sport at large.
The move is a culmination of intense growth in boxing at Octapixx LIVE, a general sports distribution firm which initially distributed five boxing telecasts in 2009 and expanded to 32 live events and 48 taped events in 2014. During the period, the company marketed some of the biggest events in the sport featuring leading stars such as Gennady Golovkin, Andre Ward, Carl Froch, Adonis Stevenson, Ricky Hatton, Sergio Martinez, and many more.
Octapixx will continue to market other sports properties while the dedicated Protocol team will devote specialized effort to the sport of boxing.
2015 is shaping up to be a banner debut year for Protocol with the launch of Season Five of weekly boxing event television series PRIME/TIME BOXING™, and exclusive distribution of major telecasts in the early part of the year punctuated by the February 21, 2015 showdown in Monte Carlo between WBA, IBO and interim WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and his toughest challenge to date in Martin Murray.
“Protocol Sports Marketing will provide greater efficiency for our promoter partners while expanding our reach to broadcasters and internet licensees all over the world,” says J. Gary Gladman, CEO of Octapixx LIVE. “Our primary goal remains to ensure more people all over the world are watching more world class boxing events, and the launch of Protocol, specializing in Boxing and only boxing, will propel us forward toward this objective and beyond.”
