Octapixx LIVE is pleased to commemorate the start of the second season of its international boxing television series, “Prime/Time Boxing™” (48 x 120’), by welcoming legendary Brazilian boxer, Acelino “Popo” Freitas” to Sportel Rio on Monday, March 12, 2012.

A present-day Federal Deputy in Brazil’s National Congress, Freitas, who recorded 38 wins as a professional boxer (32 by knockout) is a former WBO and WBA Super Featherweight Champion, and WBO Lightweight Champion, and has participated in some of the great fights of the past decade, including the August 9, 2003 world championship match against Jorge Barrios, which was a consensus candidate for Fight of the Year.

Freitas, an international ambassador of Boxing and sport in Brazil, comes to the Sportel Rio market as a guest of Octapixx LIVE and Monaco Mediax, and will address the media at a special press conference, at 16:00 on Monday, March 12, 2012, that has been scheduled to commemorate his visit.

This appearance of Freitas coincides with Octapixx LIVE’s announcement that the 2nd season of its world-renowned tape-delayed boxing television series, “Prime/Time Boxing” (48 x 120’) has begun. Produced in conjunction with top boxing promoters, “Prime/Time Boxing” provides broadcasters with weekly tape-delayed championship fights, eliminator bouts, rising contender competitions and archive classics. The series is now being broadcast in over 90 countries worldwide, with participating broadcasters receiving a weekly episode on tape or via satellite transmission.
