World Pro Ski Tour Selects Protocol Sports To Distribute Global Media Rights

World Pro Ski Tour has appointed Protocol Sports Marketing to market and distribute its global media rights. The collaboration will see the renowned international media rights distributor rep the historic ski racing property to international broadcasters and streaming platforms on an exclusive multi-year basis.

Founded in 1969 and re-launched in 2017, the World Pro Ski Tour boasts a rich heritage as the world’s premier professional alpine ski racing property. The tour stands out in the world of alpine skiing with its unique head-to-head dual format. Unlike traditional ski races where athletes compete against the clock, World Pro Ski Tour events feature two skiers racing side-by-side providing an exciting visceral experience. The tour also features open qualifying and equal prize money for Men and Women, resulting in one of the most inclusive and equitable promotions in all of sport.

World Pro Ski Tour has featured legendary athletes including two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety, Olympic silver medalist Billy Kidd and triple Olympic gold medalist Jean-Claude Killy. Today, the tour continues to attract the world's best male and female skiers, including FIS World Championship gold medalists Paula Moltzan and River Radamus. Events take place in iconic ski resort towns and feature world-class courses, providing a thrilling spectacle for fans worldwide.

Known worldwide as the leading media rights agency for meaningful combat sports such as championship Boxing and its international role marketing Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, Protocol Sports’ portfolio has vastly expanded to include major properties in football, rugby, tennis, volleyball, poker, chess and more. Now adding a major winter sport to its lineup, Protocol will leverage its extensive network and proven track record to successfully market and distribute World Pro Ski Tour media rights and bolster its revenue and global audience.

“We are delighted to be working with Protocol Sports Marketing and are confident that this distribution pact will propel World Pro Ski Tour to new markets and new heights,” says Jon J. Franklin, CEO of World Pro Ski Tour. “Our collaboration with Protocol will help continue grow our international presence and bring our events to more ski racing fans around the world.”

"The World Pro Ski Tour has a rich history with a unique format that sets it apart in the world of alpine skiing,” says Protocol Sports Marketing President Lowell Conn. “Protocol is honored to be entrusted by World Pro Ski Tour to help re-introduce this legendary annual tour to international media platforms, and audiences worldwide.”
