WORLDWIDE VIEWERS – AND BROADCASTERS – WILL BE WATCHING GOLOVKIN FIGHT MURRAY

Audiences all over the world will be watching the February 21, 2015 Monte Carlo Boxing Bonanza featuring WBA, IBO and interim WBC Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28 KO) facing his most difficult challenge to date in Martin Murray (29-1, 12 KO).

But the exclusive worldwide distributor of the telecast, Protocol Sports Marketing Ltd., an Octapixx company, is pleased to announce that many television executives working for the major companies that are licensing the telecast have stated that they will be watching the broadcast with great interest. The sports television industry believes that not one, but two stars could emerge from the main event.

Golovkin, the fastest-rising star in boxing, has stopped his last 18 opponents by knockout and has mesmerized sports fans around the world with his crowd-pleasing combination of power, technique and aggression. In his quick rise to fame, Golovkin has dispatched his opponents in dramatic fashion and has yet to be tested in the ring.

Murray is regarded by boxing pundits as a true middleweight challenge to Golovkin due to his size, strength, technical proficiency and tight defense. Murray’s only career blemishes are highly controversial decisions; a loss to Sergio Martinez in Martinez’s native Argentina and a draw with Felix Sturm in Sturm’s native Germany.

“There is no question among sports broadcasters that Gennady Golovkin is the most exciting rising star in boxing,” says Protocol Sports Marketing Ltd. President Lowell Conn. “But many buyers predict that this event will be the rare type of television-friendly battle that could result in two stars leaving the ring. Gennady Golovkin has not yet faced a fighter of Martin Murray’s caliber, and worldwide broadcast executives are just as excited as the fans to see what happens.”
